Touhou 18 東方虹龍洞 ~ Unconnected Marketeers - Lunatic 1cc (No-Miss, No-Bomb, DPS Only)
Clear on Lunatic without getting hit, without using any bombs and only using cards that increase your damage.
Just a little revenge after all the no-card stuff I did.
Had to use all that Jimbo practice for the stage 4 perfect to good use at least.
For this run I just went for absolute maximum DPS.
Which means starting with Centipede and both of Marisa's subshots.
Centipede keeps increasing your damage the longer you no-miss and no-bomb, to a maximum of x1.800. And Marisa's subshots are the most powerful in the subshot lineup.
It's important to know that Centipede and Wolf DO NOT stack, so equipping Wolf is pointless here.
There is a bug where equipping cards that affect the same property won't have any effect. Centipede and Wolf both being shot damage modifiers. The same thing happens with the Tanuki and Hat cards.
What's amusing is that Reimu actually does more damage than Sakuya at max DPS because of per-frame damage caps. Yeah that's a thing.
Actually got rather bad shop luck and didn't get any other subshots during the run besides the homing orb. Could have gotten even more DPS!
The DPS gets rather silly if you can keep it up.
The average spellcard length is like 10 seconds from stage 4 out, with some even being 8. You can end the hardest things in the game before they even become a treat.
The one exception being Jimbo, the stage 4 midboss.
It's the second hardest thing in the game and it's the true TLB of this run. Firepower doesn't help you here since it's a timeout, so most of this run was about getting past him.
I've gotten pretty consistent at the midboss though, so it's probably not nearly as bad as everyone thought at first. It's mostly about knowing where to look at any one point in the pattern. For the first low swoop you can also misdirect everything to the left and then use the safespot in the bottom right corner. As always the mentos are aimed in a random spread while the purple rings are static.
Stage 1 boss is still pretty annoying since you're still pretty weak at that point.
Stage 3 boss can also still easily kill you with the first wave of most of her attacks. Especially the first spell and her midboss non.
Stage 4 boss first spell is the hardest thing in the game, but you can end if before the 2nd wave even reaches you, making it trivial. The last spell can kill you but it's really short.
The only thing that can really kill you after stage 4 is the 2nd nonspell on the stage 5 boss.
The Centipede card is quite buggy and there seem to be a lot of oversights on it.
Besides just making your replays instantly desync because ZUN forgot to make its power carry over between stages, he also seems to have forgotten to make it reset if you autobomb with the Potion card or if you get hit with the Eiki card.
People seem to be using this as an excuse to be rather disingenuous with claiming LNN's.
The Eiki card I can maaaaaybe see as no-miss since it taps into a different resource than lives (money), but claiming autobombs are not bombs is just being absolutely insincere.
Shoutouts to the Universal Practice Tool for fixing the Centipede replay desync bug.
