How to Paint a Complex Scene in Oils and Have Fun Doing It!

Let me show you how I take 15 reference photos and put them together into a single story oil painting. It's not as difficult as you might think, but there are some things you should know before you tackle a complicated scene to make your life much easier. With some patience and planning, you can do the best work of your life!

For the impatient, the painting demo starts at: 9:10

Ivory Black, raw umber, cold grey medium (Rembrandt brand), yellow ochre, burnt sienna, green earth hue (Utrecht brand), cerulean blue, ultramarine blue, dioxazine purple, titanium white, lemon yellow, cadmium orange, permanent red medium (Rembrandt brand), alizarine crimson permanent (Gamblin brand). My painting medium is Liquin Original.
