Ehler's Danlos syndrome is a genetic disorder of connective tissue that affects the skin, joints, and blood vessels. 

Like many other syndromes, there is a spectrum that ranges from mild to severe. 

Ashley's headaches, for example, may be a result of hyper-elastic blood vessels, and thus caffeine is a palliative measure for her. 

Hypermobility of the joints is colloquially spoken as "double-jointed" and it's shockingly obvious that she maintains this status when she twisted her spine like an Aunt Annie's sugar pretzel. 

When it comes to joint manipulation, Ashley doesn't need much. She needs dynamic stabilization.

Or, the muscular integrity to maintain stability through a joint's entire range of motion. 

But it's still my mission to seek out the primary joint restrictions with assasin like accuracy. 

And then relieve the joint tension... precisely. 

Gently. 

And nicely. 

And THAT is the reason why I often forget to change face paper from non-crinkly to crinkly, back to non-crinkly. 

Especially in this session...

We were getting deep. 

Ashley is in school for a career in the health field and she had a ton of great questions. I edited out at least 20 minutes of Q&A. 

And while her spine was quite crunchy...  her hips were throwing some shizade for realzy... 

There was nothing in that left hip after the big easy clunk which I'm sure she can get on her own with a little side twist. And I was glad I performed the lumbar paraspinal analysis and determined she had an L5 on the same side. It wasn't loud, but that 2nd cavitation was more valuable than a toilet paper roll in the spring of 2020. 

It's 11:44pm and I probably shouldn't be exercising the minority of my brain cells that are devoted to linguistic humor. 

I'm more of a facial expression humor kind of guy. 

It's all about the blank stare. 

The subtle nuances of a face are so easy to relate to... for anyone who has a face. 

I'm excited for this weekend bc a friend is having a birthday party that is themed "bring something cold to drink and a topic to argue passionately." 
 
But I don't argue. It's not in my nature. It takes too much energy and the result is often less than productive. 

So I'm going to brush up on the story of "The Zax."

As for this week's video, I hope the spinal twist cringe gave everyone a nice contrast to the usual relaxi taxi ASMR spine tingley wingley. 

Sometimes... you have to feel the extremes to know why you are attracted to a certain energy. 

In this way, ASMR exists on a spectrum. On one extreme you'll find tingles. On the other, you'll find cringe. 

I know... I know... That's not what Wikipedia says. 

Regardless... These different experiences inform the brain of its preferences. 

And determining what one likes is an important indicator of what one IS. 

Your very own nature. 

Your avatar. 

Health points. Skill Level. Endurance. Speed. Power. Etc.  

Your just building your character in the game of life.

And in the game of life, sleep is potent medicine.

A tired avatar will most likely stumble and make poor decisions.
