Socialite, tycoon's daughter, friend of Epstein: Who is Ghislaine Maxwell?

The Jeffrey Epstein investigation is one of the most high profile cases in the world - but very little is known about his former girlfriend, Ghislaine Maxwell, who has been arrested by the FBI.

She has been charged with playing a role in the "sexual exploitation and abuse" of multiple underage girls by Epstein.

Court documents have alleged that Ms Maxwell acted as Epstein's de facto madam, helping him procure young victims.

In sworn statements, she has denied any wrongdoing.
