Old Town (Medieval) area of Esslingen am Neckar, Germany
Esslingen am Neckar in Germany has been pretty much thriving since around since the year 800. Because it was spared from much of the bombings of WWII, the old town area remained pretty much intact. Walking through here is really a step back in time, with parts of the old city wall and tower still standing. The whole area is full of beautiful half-timbered houses that Germany is known for. The river Neckar runs through the city, with many homes built right over it. Not to be missed if you ever visit Germany - hope you enjoy the video snippets we filmed and are enticed to consider coming here one day.
