TRAXXAS XMAXX UNBOXING // IT BROKE...FASTEST DISAPPOINTMENT!

We bought a brand new Traxxas XMAXX (Orange Edition) as a shop/garage toy, but have been very disappointed with build quality of pinion/spur gears. The pinion gear keeps coming off. First time it fell off, it shredded the spur gear. Replaced spur gear. Pinion fell off again (with a new set-screw), but this time, the upgraded spur gear survived! The massive amounts of torque is damaging the set screw on the pinion gear and causing it to loosen. Thinking about notching the shaft for set screw to sit in so it can't slide off...but haven't yet.

In the comments below, please let us know whether you guys had the same issues and if you found and good, PERMANENT fixes.
