""Introspection 1" is one of my harp improvisations made about 4 months ago, during the world lockdown 2020. I improvised and recorded the music in April 2020. This is a one-take harp recording with no changes or edits.

I will probably not be able to play it again as is, but it’s ok. I am playing my thoughts on my harp. My words become my music. I am starting slow, a bit relaxed, but on my way to my mind, I open myself, and I surprise myself.

My mind it’s not so relaxed, my mind is searching.. always... My mind goes beyond everything, and I try to cope with everything my mind is saying to me. Sometimes, when I improvise, I go so deep in my mind that it’s difficult to come back, to get out of that state, because it feels so good and I feel like I can express everything, every thought... I don’t pretend I always understand what my mind says to me, but the feelings I sense are too strong to ignore them.
My feelings are so mixed sometimes, but I love to express them through my music. I know for some years now, that improvisations on harp, on piano, are my most intimate and true part of me, of who I am. I am thinking of ancient times, I am thinking of our times and everything in between.

Sometimes I feel joy, sometimes I am deeply sad, with no words to explain why; sometimes I think of all the wonders of the world and sometimes I am thinking of all the people I have met in my life. My thoughts are "my friends." They make me question things, and because of that, I try to learn new things, which helps me understand a part of this world, but... it’s just a tiny part. I realize we are so very "small" in this world, and I know we do things that matter so little in this big world...

We are so different, yet we are all the same. We are people, we have questions, we have dreams, we have needs, we are strong and we are weak. In the end, we all need each other. Stay safe!"
