Icon Airmada Long Term Review | The Everyday Helmet

After 4 years and countless miles it was time to give you guys a long term review of my Icon Airmada Motorcycle Helmet!

The Airmada is arguably one of the MOST popular motorcycles of this decade. It has come in a TON of different colors and graphics over the years, and for good reason! I bought my Rubatone Airmada as my first personal motorcycle helmet. Like many others out there, I just bought a motorcycle and couldn't afford major brands such as Arai or Shoei to start. The Airmada is a perfect beginner to intermediate Helmet for those who like a aggressive look and decent features. The helmet is only DOT rated, so while it's not acceptable for the track, it still offers plenty of protection for daily street riding.

The helmet has held up great over the years with only a couple cosmetic flaws that I have a gripe with. The lower rubber chin moulding WILL separate if the helmet is exposed to heat for long periods of time. It's fixed by glueing it back together, but it's a bit bothersome. The Rubatone finish tends to stain with bug guts but does provide resistance to scratches that you would find on glossy helmets.

Overall, the helmet provides excellent value for those new to riding or want one of the best motovlogging helmets as I think this one is a easy fit for a go pro mount. I would absolutely buy this helmet again for the price if need be.
