MiG-23 Crashes During “Thunder Over Michigan”
(Updated 1823 EDT on August 13, 2023) A privately owned MiG-23 Flogger experienced an unknown malfunction at approximately 1615 CDT on August 13, 2023 while performing during the "Thunder Over Michigan" air show at Willow Run Airport. The pilots ejected and the fighter reportedly hit the grass between a couple of apartment buildings. Aircrew uninjured and no one hurt on the ground.
