Malcore awakens from one of Valkyrie's dragon eggs in the Ice King's castle. He uses his fire breath to unthaw Valkyrie. Together they unleash The Prisoner, a man who has been trapped for eternity by the Ice King in his dungeon. The three join forces to defeat their enemy.

The Ice King tells Snowfoot and the Ice Queen of The Prisoner's escape. They must form a plan.

After killing the current Fire King, The Prisoner sends Valkyrie to The Ice King's castle. Valkyrie arrives and informs The Ice King of the upcoming duel. The Ice King goes alone to fight The Prisoner, per his request, despite Snowfoot and Ice Queen's worries.

The Ice King and The Prisoner have an epic battle on top of the old castle near Haunted Hills. Krampus shows up at the last moment to protect The Ice King from destruction.
