Challenging Buggy Seat Base Corners | 2 Seat Buggy Part 8 | Engels Coach Shop

This a a unique corner joint for a buggy seat base. Lap joints are much more common, and much easier to construct. However, this was original to this buggy so I duplicated the this mortise and tenon style in salvaging the one original seat, and preparing to duplicate the second seat that was missing. Building and restoring horse drawn vehicles brings a variety of old style woodworking challenges as I endeavor to match original manufacturer's styles.
