2019 University of Washington Commencement Ceremony

On June 15, 2019, the University of Washington will honor the graduating class of 2019 at the University’s 144th Annual Commencement Exercises. Over 5,500 graduates will take the field at the magnificent Husky Stadium to the cheers and applause of 40,000 family members and friends.

All graduates will walk across the 4,000 square foot purple and gold commencement stage, adorned with life-sized replicas of the University columns, and have their photographs taken as they receive their diploma mementos (a purple leather diploma cover bearing the official seal of the University of Washington).

It will be a once-in-a-lifetime event in the lives of graduates and parents alike – an experience not to be missed.

Featuring commencement speaker, Rick Welts, president and chief operating officer of the back-to-back NBA Champion Golden State Warriors, a member of the Basketball Hall of Fame’s Class of 2018, and a University of Washington alumnus.
