Fishing on the All New 450Z SeaVee

Walk through videos and demos are one way to feature a new boat. However, when you manufacture a state of the art new vessel like the SeaVee 450Z, there is only one real way to put it to the test....offshore in the deep blue doing what it was built to do....fish hard in comfort! In this video, @Fish Bluewater teams up with Ariel Pared, partner at SeaVee, legendary Captain Ray Rosher of Miss Britt Charters and the rest of the crew that they have put together to compete in the upcoming Quest for the Crest Sailfish Series and other tournaments for the 2021 season!

The mission? To see if the all new 450Z would deliver on the high expectations from all those who had their hands involved in this landmark project at SeaVee boats and for me...well, I was definitely curious to see if it would live up to the hype!

On its maiden fishing voyage, we logged well over 100 miles fishing from Haulover Inlet to as far south as Key Largo. One of the things that stood out to me the most was how well SeaVee embraced their well earned reputation for attention to detail in their newest addition to the fleet. The helm station featured an immense amount of dash space with real estate to fit two 24 inch machines, a 16 inch machine, and a number of other electronics. The visibility for the captain was totally unobstructed with a clear view in front of the bow and side to side at 180 degrees or more. The air conditioned breeze from the dual row seating did not go unnoticed, nor did the drop down overhead storage in the helm area for quick access to kites and an interior console that delivered the space and furnishings to rival some of the sportfish boats on the market today.

The 450Z did not disappoint in the fishing features either. The boat comes equipped with port and starboard transom wells plus two additional floor wells in the stern of the boat and the ability to add a splash well in the bow of the boat as well. The transom of the boat is the most ergonomic I've seen on a boat of its size providing easy clearance for the angler to tackle a feisty fish from port to starboard while the captain is backing down to get that release or get a fish in gaff range.
