Restoring a Griswold Meat Grinder (plus homemade sausage)

Sausage, cheese and egg muffins for breakfast, courtesy of Griswold cast iron. :) On my recent vacation I acquired not one but two Griswold meat grinders, or "food choppers," and I've restored one of them to working condition. So, we get to break it in by grinding up three pounds of meat, then using one pound of the ground ork to make homemade breakfast sausasge. It's so easy to make homemade sausage, everyone should do it -- especially these days, with meat scarce and prices so high. These sausage patties were fried in a Griswold #10 skillet, to go along with the Griswold meat grinder. The recipe for this sausage can be seen on my Web site, Cast Iron Chaos, at: http://www.modemac.com/wiki/Wayside_Country_Sausage
