This sub $10 kit will give you a signal generator that can output square, triangle, and sine wave at the same time. The frequency range is limited, but can be adjusted by changing the timing capacitor. It is based in the ICL8038 Monolithic Precision Waveform Generator/Voltage Controlled Oscillator.
