In 1907 a tomb was discovered that presented a real puzzle: a coffin without a face, burial equipment with names of various members of the royal family, and an anonymous mummy. The tomb dates to the turbulent late 18th dynasty, the time of king Tutankhamun. Who was buried in that tomb and why was most of the inventory destroyed in antiquity?
