Barnard students have always “majored in unafraid.” Some have gone on to break open storytelling boxes and others have received Emmy Award-nominations for their work. In this series, seven of the College's trailblazing alumnae share sage advice about their respective fields. Theo Balcomb ’09, creator of The New York Times’ The Daily podcast, might be one of the most well-known audio journalists in the country. But how to find a meaningful story? Balcomb suggests turning to a smartphone’s voice memo app and then finding a way to tell a story in a brand new, deeper way.
