A famous musician Aliaune Badara Thiam better known as Akon was welcomed in 1973. He rose to prominence thanks to his extraordinary music skills as well as acting and producing gift.
He spent the first 15 years of his life in Senegal but then the family moved to America, where a future star got interested in music and began writing songs. His career in the music world started in early 2000s and in 2004 he released his first album called Trouble. However, what really made Akon a worldwide famous star is his second album Konvicted that was presented in 2006. After that, he started cooperating with such celebrities as Eminem, Snoop Dog and many others.
Apart from music, the artist also deals with acting and can boast of featuring in several movies. He is also a talented designer who created his own line of clothes.

The father Mor was born in Senegal and it was he who taught Akon to play various music instruments and basically, inspired him to pursue a career in this particular industry. He works as a historian consultant but is also a jazz musician.

The mother’s name is Kine and she is also from Senegal. Kine was a singer and a dancer but is currently dealing with The Konfidence Foundation, where she is a CEO and a president. The stellar son is very close with both parents and often shares pictures with them on social media.

The famous music artist has three younger siblings. A brother Abou was delivered in 1982. He is also a part of the entertainment world being a music producer. As for Abou’s personal life, he dated Ariel Hakim with whom he has a daughter. Then he was romantically involved with Tracee Ellis Ross.

Khady is a sister who shares an extremely tight bond with a famed brother. Her career began from working as Akon’s executive producer and now she is a music consultant. In addition, she is happily married and is a mother to a son.

The third sibling is a brother Omar. Unfortunately, nothing is known about his occupation or personal life.

Coming closer to the musician’s attitude to marriage, it would be interesting to know that he is a polygamist. This means that he can have as many wives as he wants. According to some sources, Akon may have five spouses.

The first wife is Tomeka. It is not known for sure when they tied the knot but it definitely happened before 1996 when their firstborn appeared to this world. In total, they share four kids.

Tricia Ana appeared in TV series along with Akon, where he called her his wife. But according to various resources, she left him during the show.

One more woman in the celebrity’s life is a makeup artist and Mrs. Atlantic Ocean 2019 Kelly Pittman. There is no information whether they are married or not but they have a common child.

The musician’s first child, a son Aliaune, was delivered in 1996 with Tomeka. His is a producer and a music engineer by profession.

Ty is a son with Pittman, who was born in 1997. Nothing much is known about his life, except for the fact that he appeared in MattyBRap’s music video.

One more son is named Mohammad. It is not known who his mother is.

Jhavor is the second kid with Tomeka, who was welcomed in 2004. He is pursuing a music career, writing songs.

A daughter Alianna, was delivered in 2007 with Tomeka. It is only known that she has recently graduated from school.

The youngest child in a family is Journey, who was born in 2008. There is very little information about her life but her pictures can be frequently seen on social media.
