Visiting with Huell Howser: Subway
Join Huell as he visits Fourth and Hill in downtown Los Angeles for the old Subway Terminal building which has been a fixture in Los Angeles history for at least sixty to seventy years. This subway terminal, built in 1908, served as the Los Angeles Pacific Railroad and in 1916, they operated over 450 trains a day causing great congestion and plans to build another station. This Subway Terminal building was built in 1925 not only to be an office building as well as a terminal building for the old electric cars, in which stores a historic subway underneath.
