Hanalei Hill Landslide + Hanalei Bay, Pier & Beach | Kauai, HI 2021

A few months ago, the Hanalei Hill Landslide blocked off the entire highway making it impossible to reach Hanalei Bay Beach. In June of 2021, the highway is still under construction but now cars are allowed to pass through. Ma and I woke up extra early and left Princeville just before sunrise. However, on our return, we waited over an hour & a half just to cross Hanalei Hill. Be prepared to adjust your itinerary around which side gets to cross first, otherwise you may as well cancel your plans. Some restaurants are open, but others are not due to this inconvenience.

Hanalei Bay is absolutely gorgeous! It's one of the most beautiful beaches we have ever laid our eyes on. The sand was buttery soft, the water was crystal clear, and the beautiful and majestic views created the perfect beach paradise.
