Oddicombe Beach is a popular beach, noted for its interesting Breccia cliffs, below the Babbacombe district of Torbay, Devon in England.
The beach includes many facilities which include a cafe, beach hut and deck chair hire, a beach shop, trampolines, motor boat hire, pedalo hire and kayak hire.

Oddicombe beach, in Torquay, is my family's favourite beach for stone-skimming. ... There is no need to drive, as the best way to arrive at the beach is to park on Babbacombe Downs and come down via the funicular railway.
The long sandy beach west of Torquay harbour is easy to access as the main road from Torquay to Paignton runs alongside it.

This is a great beach for all ages! paddling for the young and a variety of watersports for the older and braver! Accessible via a steep road or you could take the amazing Babbabacombe Cliff Railway.

Oddicombe has beach huts to rent, a well stocked beach shop and a super newly refurbished café.

An English Riviera UNESCO Global Geopark Key Site with evidence of limestones having been dramatically twisted and turned by geological forces. The cliff top at Oddicombe has regressed by about 30-40m over time, with some dramatic landslides taking place, effecting the coastal landscape below.

Access is via a steep road or via the easier Cliff Railway, where a slope leads to a level promenade above the beach. Access via the steps on to the beach.

Well one of the things you are almost bound to have noticed driving around South Devon is how red the soil is. This colouration is due to iron chemicals only found in deserts. The chemicals were leached out of the overlying desert rocks and it passed down into the Devonian rocks beneath, staining them red.
