Climate Lessons From Plants, Past To Future
Plants are a powerful weapon in our fight against climate change. Going from the past into the future, researchers in the Biology department at Duke University use plant specimens from the Duke Herbarium to understand the impacts of climate change, and the plant growing facility known as Phytotron to develop crops better adapted to a warmer and drier world. Together, they show a slice of the breadth of research that is needed to understand the effects of climate change and to plan for a more resilient future.
