This month’s selection is an article entitled “The Great Conversation” by Robert Hutchins who, among many other achievements, became President of the University of Chicago at age 30. The panel discusses the concepts that led to the creation of The Great Books Association and questions like: What makes a “Great Book”? Are there books that are great without being recognized as “Great Books”? Why should people read great works of literature, or read books at all?
