Making a Metal Dust Collector: Part 1 (4K HDR)

When making swords, most of the time is spent in front of the grinder. Grinding generates a lot of metal dust and that dust gets everywhere. Unfortunately, dust collection for metal dust is quite tricky. The sparks from grinding can create smoldering fires, and finely ground high-carbon steel burns surprisingly well. It's time to make my own metal dust collector. I will build it from 16 gauge sheet metal and use a Thien Baffle to keep the metal dust out of the blower and filters and have it drop into an airtight compartment. In part 1, I will build the Thien Baffle. As I don't really have any sheet metal tools, we go through some interesting contortions.
