Don't forget to show me the love by liking this vid! :) Dark Souls, developed and published by From Software in Japan, and shortly thereafter published by Namco Bandai Games on September 22 and October 4, 2011, is a game created originally for PS3 and XBox 360 only. Because of a high number of requests, the Prepare to Die edition (PtDE) of the game was released on August 23, 2012, as a port of the consoles to the PC. The PtDE is a true port, meaning there was almost no modification done beyond the minimum to allow the game to run on a PC. On-screen indicators of buttons to press, etc., remain XBox 360 versions of those; for this reason, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND using an XBox 360 controller, plugged into a USB port if you choose to play it on a PC. Dark Souls is a fantasy action-RPG, played in 3OTS (third-person over-the-shoulder) perspective. After a devastating war against the dragons, the Age of Fire has come. During this time, all undead are corralled to the north, where they are kept in cells to await the end of days. Someone apparently wants you out of there, however, as in the opening scene a corpse is dropped into your oubliette-like cell with a key that unlocks your cell's door. Getting out will not be easy, however. You encounter other undead also trying to make their way, and the Asylum Demon, a monstrous behemoth blocks your way to anywhere but side passages. You will need excellent strategy, armor, weapons, and magic to fulfill your final destiny.
