Toyota Coaster Engine Light 15B-FTE throttle body switch repair

After 3 days of searching the internet, and finding almost no information, I found how to get fault codes (DTC 15 throttle motor) and how to test the throttle-open sensor switch. After pulling the assembly out I couldn’t believe that the switch was part of the throttle housing and decided it would be worth trying to repair or adapt another switch, or I would have to buy the whole assembly. Of course, that would be the easy solution. But seeing as very little information exists for this fault, I thought I should share my experience.
