Flourish Fixed This Annoying Data Paste Bug (And It's a Game Changer)

The Flourish team just made a small but mighty update that will save you a lot of frustration. In this short tip, I walk you through a change to how Flourish handles pasting new data into an existing chart — and why it matters so much for your workflow.

What I cover:
➡️ The old behavior: how pasting new data into a Flourish chart would silently reset your column selections and force you to start over
Where the paste settings used to be buried (inside a collapsed accordion menu under Settings)
➡️ The new behavior: the paste options menu now appears automatically when you paste, making it easy to keep your existing column choices, formats, colors, and labels intact
➡️ A quick demo using the line chart template showing exactly what changes — and what doesn't — depending on whether you check or uncheck those paste options

Why it matters:
