We Are All, In Some Way, Exiles in a Foreign Land

In the stillness of Esther’s ascent, the Spirit invites us to reflect. What crowns have we received that hide our ache? What silent places do we occupy, appointed by God though misunderstood by man? Esther teaches us that divine purpose often begins in forced surrender. She did not choose the palace. But she chose whom she would serve within it.

We are all, in some way, exiles in a foreign land. Whether in boardrooms or bedrooms, pulpits or prisons, we walk roads we did not design. But God weaves His purposes in the very places we resist. The hidden places. The undesired assignments. The nights we never planned. These become altars, where fragrance rises.

The myrtle, when crushed, releases its scent. And Esther, though silent, had begun to release hers.
