MapleStory Just Made Starforce 30 Stars REAL! | Destiny Weapons, Boss Nerfs and More! KMST

A new test client was released today in MapleStory Korea bringing some HUGE changes to everyone's favorite upgrade system, starforce. As well as boss nerfs, level 6 rings and destiny weapons! Sadly I get thrown in jail if I play KMS so we’re just going to go over the patch notes themselves!

Items that are level 138 and higher can now get up to 30 stars. And Maplers who already have a level 23, 24 or 25 star item will have their total amount of stars adjusted to reflect the new system. The first big change is that items 15 stars and higher will now also no longer decrease in starforce if you fail an upgrade. Finally wow it's happening. Nothing beats that feeling of gambling all your mesos and losing power due to the way upgrading works right now. This is awesome! However nothing good comes with a bit of bad mixed in it. The chance of item destruction also has increased for the lower stars. For example upgrading from 19 to 20 stars now has a 2.8% chance of destruction, and this will increase to 8%. The Mesos consumed when starfrocing between 17 to 19 stars and 21 stars will be increased. Safeguarding will be twice as expensive. But you can now safeguard up to 17 stars. So 17 to 18 will also be able to be safeguarded. And there will be a new sunny sunday event that reduces that destruction chance by 30%. Which I think means that if you have a 10% chance of destruction this will go down to around 7% chance of destruction during the sunny sunday event.
