Another super smooth early morning commute on LA freeways with Tesla FSD (Supervised) on HW3!
My 2020 Model Y Long Range handles these daily drives like a champ—mostly hands-off, zero major interventions, and it makes the usual traffic bearable (even enjoyable). I occasionally flick between Standard and Hurry modes for traffic flow, and I've dialed the speed offset down to +20% (from +40%) for a more chill vibe that still keeps up. Switching lanes manually here and there when it feels right. Love FSD overall—it's reliable day in, day out for real-world commuting. My one ongoing gripe? The lane choices can be head-scratchers: unnecessary switches (especially into congested lanes) or brief dips out and back in. Feels like a mapping quirk more than anything else. Desperately waiting for FSD v14 Lite—it's coming for HW3 cars around Q2 2026, and it'll bring some of those newer smarts without leaving us behind.
