Seasonic Focus GX 850 ATX 3.0 Unboxing & First Look!

Today I’m unboxing and taking a first look at the Seasonic Focus GX-850, an 850-watt, 80 Plus Gold, fully modular ATX 3.0 power supply built for modern PCs and next-gen GPUs.
This unit was provided by Seasonic for review, and in this video I go through the packaging, build quality, cables, and key technical features so you know exactly what you’re getting.
The Focus GX-850 is ATX 3.0 and PCIe 5.0 ready, includes a native 12VHPWR cable, and is designed to properly handle modern GPU power spikes from RTX 40-series, upcoming RTX 50-series, and AMD high-end graphics cards — without adapters.
It also features Seasonic’s Hybrid Silent Fan Control, which allows the PSU to run fanless at low loads, then smoothly transition into silent and cooling modes as demand increases. Combined with a 135mm fluid dynamic bearing fan, this is designed to stay quiet while maintaining long-term reliability.
