Poland and Germany are working or a new defense agreement, another in a series of bilateral agreements Warsaw has been concluding or announcing in recent weeks, amid the U.S. military pullout from Europe. How important exactly is the defense cooperation between the two countries?

“The German defense minister once said that Poland’s security is fundamental for Germany's security. And it's also the other way around, because Germany is the force that would come to help if Poland would be attacked.” Miguel Berger, German Ambassador to Poland, told TVP World. “Germany is the logistic hub of NATO. We have Ramstein. We have all the big bases. And in case of a defense situation, the military mobility would be fundamental between Germany and Poland.”
