The Setup: Joe Armstrong (Michael Dudikoff) and his buddy Curtis Jackson (Steve James) are back. This time, they're Army Rangers sent to investigate missing Marines on a tropical island . The commanding officer, "Wild Bill" Woodward (Jeff Celentano), has no leads—until our heroes realize the truth: NINJAS. Lots and lots of ninjas .

The Beach Brawl: The film opens with a spectacular beach fight that sets the tone for everything to come. Ninjas attack in broad daylight (because stealth is overrated), swarming Joe and Curtis on the sand. The choreography is fast, furious, and gloriously ridiculous . At one point, ninjas form a HUMAN LADDER to climb up the rocks—only to get beaten down moments later .

The Villain: The mastermind behind the kidnappings is "Leo the Lion" Burke (Gary Conway), a super-criminal who has blackmailed a scientist into genetically engineering an army of mutant ninja warriors . The lab features cryogenically frozen ninjas stuffed in oversized test tubes—a level of wackiness that even Ninja Turtles cartoons would envy .

Mike Stone (the real-life martial artist) plays lead ninja Tojo Ken and choreographed the fights .
