Indian Army Tests FPV Drone Swarms for Tank Killer Missions

The Indian Army is taking a major leap in modern warfare with the development of autonomous FPV drone swarms designed to destroy enemy battle tanks and heavily armoured vehicles. This next-generation anti-tank capability allows a single operator to control multiple FPV drones at once, enabling coordinated, multi-angle attacks on vulnerable points of modern Main Battle Tanks.

Unlike traditional FPV drone operations, these semi-autonomous swarms can independently identify and strike weak areas such as top armour, engine decks, and turret rings, overwhelming enemy Active Protection Systems. This technology reflects India’s shift toward future-ready, cost-effective precision strike solutions inspired by lessons from recent conflicts, but taken to the next level with autonomous swarming.

Once operational, these FPV drone swarms will give Indian infantry and mechanised units a powerful edge against high-value armoured threats without relying solely on expensive anti-tank guided missiles.
