How to Patent a Video? #shorts

This video answers how to patent a video and whether a video can even be patented. It begins by discussion of the four types of intellectual property (IP) and which ones are a good fit for protecting a video. Trade secrets only protect things that will be kept secret; patents protect utilitarian inventions and are therefore not applicable to protecting videos; trademarks specifically protect marks such as brand names, logos etc. in relation to specific goods and services, so are not applicable to videos. However, copyrights protect artistic works like books, movies and art and also protect videos. Accordingly, you cannot patent a video, but you can COPYRIGHT a video.
