The Arbat (Arbat Street) is situated in the historic centre of Moscow. The street has existed since the 15th century, which makes it one of the oldest surviving thoroughfares i the Russian capital. The street begins 800 metres west of the Kremlin walls in Arbatskaya Square and ends about a kilometer away at Smolenskaya Square.
My "tour" begins at the metro station of Arbatskaya, built in 1935, takes a brief sidetrack to look at the House of Mosselprom a fine example of Russian Constructivism, before heading across Arbatskaya Square into the Arbat.......
