- Cinco anos depois, Joel e Ellie estão morando no assentamento de Tommy em Jackson, Wyoming, onde eles e outros sobreviventes construíram uma comunidade. - Five years later, Joel and Ellie are living in Tommy's settlement in Jackson, Wyoming, where they and other survivors have built a community. During these years, Ellie, now eighteen, befriended Dina and Jesse. later, Ellie and Dina find themselves in love and take on a relationship. In the winter, when Joel and Tommy disappear while observing the movements of infected near the settlement, Ellie and Dina decide to investigate. Joel and Tommy find Abby and the group flee from a large horde of infected. In a shelter, Abby reveals herself as a leader of a small group of the Washington Liberation Front (WLF) militia and a former member of the Fireflies; where her father Derek Phillips was the surgeon who was going to perform the operation to remove the mutation from Ellie's brain, but was murdered by Joel during the girl's rescue
