Chess is a bit of a paradox. While just a humble board game to most, it is also an ancient tool for military strategy and can be seen as an analogy for life itself. Rachel Lu’s experiences of playing chess has taught her invaluable life lessons that have shaped her into the person she is today. Her TEDx speech will encapsulate some of the strategies she’s learnt both on and off the board, as well as explore the parallels that can be drawn between the chessboard and life itself — thinking outside the board.
