E138 - Roz’s Moto Adventure Ride Australia -TAS, 14 Mile Rd, Bronte Park, Miena, Penstock/Dee Lagoon

This episode takes me up to day 262 of my year long adventure ride around Australia and the twists & turns continue! I leave my beautiful Lake King William wild camp & do a pitstop at The Wall just outside of Derwent Bridge. The artistic wood carvings were jaw dropping but unfortunately you can’t take any photos of video footage! After one last burger at The Hungry Wombat, I make tracks eastbound but soon detour south down Fourteen Mile Road. What a great dirt detour! By the end of it, I decide to head northbound through Tarraleah and make tracks to Bronte Park as it’s getting late in the day. The caravan park was fully booked out due to keen trout fishermen but again the generosity of the Tasmanians came to the rescue with fabulous Shane at the Bronte Park General Store offering me a patch of lawn behind his store! Waaaaah thank you buddy! 😁🙏🏁🏅 And what an awesome little store it was! I bought the warmest pair of possum fur gloves and a solar charger power bank on top of his great coffee & toasties! Yay! The next morning I did a big loop of the area heading northbound to Miena for fuel and looped back around on Waddamana Rd, Bashan Rd & Victoria Valley Road taking in Penstock & Dee Lagoons along the way! What a beautiful ride!!! I arrived back at Bronte Park to two amazing surprises! First up was meeting Garry McDonald aka Norman Gunston and his fishing guide Steve Starling! OMG! Freakin amazing! 😂🙏🏁🏁 We chin wagged for ages and then Shane hit me up with the great news that he’s organized a set of keys and permission for me to ride out to Skullbone Plains the following day! JUST WOW! Talk about being the luckiest adventure rider EVER! So excited! It’s always an adventure...carry on! 😁👍🏁⛺️☠️🏍💨
