In this video, I’m sharing my favorite travel memories from Japan while showing you how to recreate one of the simplest yet most iconic Japanese convenience store foods—Tamago Sando (Japanese Egg Salad Sandwich)!

My boyfriend and I spent two weeks exploring Japan last October for our anniversary, and the food was life-changing. From Yakiniku to Onigiri, every meal was amazing, but I kept coming back to this simple, creamy, melt-in-your-mouth sandwich from konbinis like 7-Eleven, FamilyMart, and Lawson. Since coming home, I’ve been on a mission to recreate it, and now you can too!

📍 Here’s what you’ll need:
🥚 High-quality eggs (pasture-raised or from a local farmer’s market for best flavor!)
🍞 Japanese milk bread (Shokupan) – Get it at a local Asian grocery store or make it at home!
🧈 Salted butter – Adds richness and prevents sogginess
🥄 Sugar, salt, and pepper – The only seasonings you need!
🥄 Kewpie mayo – A must for that authentic, creamy taste
