A house is not Home

Brett and Debra feel like they are at home even though their house is gone....
That made me think for a little while.

I was off 2 days in a row and I wanted to be ready to get as much done as possible.
So lunch break I headed over to @ouachitamountainliving and pulled the rims off of the 5th wheel. I was kind of at a loss looking for tires. 5 lug on 4.5 inches is a Ford lug pattern and I dont even let Fords in my driveway let alone keep spare parts for them.
Half kidding HA

Russell came through clutch as usual and went and pulled some off an old rig of his. Next issue is the center holes wouldnt fit so he took a torch to his own rims and cut them out so the hole would fit over. Thank you Russell!

Wednesday morning I went and got Lynzie truck and ran it home before meeting up with Russell and Dwayne to pull the 5th wheel. Dwayne is the farmer I used to work for at the chicken farm when I first moved here. Great fella and really did alot to help me get established here in Arkansas.
He is a very giving man and wouldnt let us pay him for towing the 5th wheel. Of course Russell wouldnt take anything either..

We got the 5th wheel in place and up on blocks @TinyFarmNuggets after towing the boat out from under the barn.
Looked good behind the old squarebody. It is up for sell and powered by a 350 chevy motor... the boat I mean.

I pulled the van out of the way and me and Lynzie went to work on the tin. You couldnt really see anything with all the tin everywhere so we removed the tin and flattened out as much as we could for them to reuse on other projects.

Then we stacked all of the wood from the trailer so we could then load it up with the burnt appliances and such. Most of the stuff was just a shell of its former self and was pretty light so most of it got cleared out with only a few heavy things remaining. We could of picked any of them up really it was just still a pretty big trip hazard around and didnt want to risk us getting hurt.

Arkansas micro farm family were a big help and did alot of the tedious digging through the rubble looking for sentimental items.
The girls did anyways. Randy the father he was all electric all day. He not only donated all of the equipment to restart the electrical service but he also installed it all. Thanks guys!

The word just got out to some locals and they were coming by offering a hand anyway they could. One family offered to haul stuff off if needed and another donated a generator for use. Then comes Chris with his backhoe to do all of the heavy lifting. First me up the pole and then the cars and heavier appliances. A huge help and Im sure he will be back for more if needed. Seemed like a really good guy.

Mama V from @possumrunhomestead stopped by and hugged some necks and it was good to see her. I know it brightened Debras day.

I spent the rest of the night shoveling ashes and got the slab cleared off completely minus the pile of metal waiting for the trailer.
Also me and Brett went and fetched the dogs from the other house and they are home now too.
Brett made venison stew for them to eat in the dutch oven.

Thanks again to everyone who helped in anyway they could. We got a good community of folks and Im glad you are all a part of it.
Love you guys
