Aired (May 17, 2026): Fishermen in Sultan Kudarat in the Philippines reportedly discovered what they believe to be ambergris, often called “whale vomit”, a rare substance prized in the production of luxury perfumes.

Because of its unusual smell and appearance, many became convinced that the mysterious object could indeed be genuine ambergris, which is said to fetch millions of pesos.

But is it really the rare substance they hope it is? And could this discovery change the lives of the fishermen who found it?
