OSM MUSIC EDUCATION
As part of the module outcomes of the MUSE3706 module, the third year music education specializing students engage in a community project.

For this project, the MUSE team lead by Mrs Gerda Pretorius and Ms Anchen Froneman, collaborated with the Reach Our Community (ROC) Foundation in Heidedal.

Sixteen school learners visited the Odeion School of Music on a weekly basis where they were exposed to basic music principles through marimba playing, rhythmic instruments and other creative arts activities.

This culminated in a workshop on Saturday, 26 November at the ROC Foundation in Heidedal, facilitated by the third year students Sehle Mosole and Jonandrea Pofadder. During this occasion, the learners presented some of the work of the past year to family and friends within their community.

These community members also took part in the music making and dancing activities.
