Transitions on the SAT Grammar [2021]

SAT Grammar can be a tricky part of your SAT prep. Sometimes you need to know all the grammar rules, sometimes you need to show your sat reading ability as well.
Transition questions are responsible for about 10 - 15% of your total SAT score. If you are constantly making these transition question errors, make sure you utilize the 4 - step process.

Step 1️⃣
❌❌❌ cross out the transition already in place. We do this to prevent any future bias towards the NO CHANGE option.

Step 2️⃣
Read the sentence above and the sentence with the transition until the period.
Figure out the type of relationship that exists:
Continuous | Reversal | Cause and Effect

Step 3️⃣
Evaluate your answer choices. If they are too similar to each other AND represent the same type of relationship, it's safe to say that they are both wrong.

Step 4️⃣
Choose the right answer. Plug it in and re-read the two sentences ensuring that they flow together nicely.
