In this video, I explained the basic concept of valence band and conduction band in a very simple way.
👉 The valence band contains electrons that are tightly bound and cannot move freely.
👉 The conduction band contains free electrons that can move and allow electric current to flow.
👉 The band gap is the energy difference between these two bands.
💡 When electrons gain energy and jump from the valence band to the conduction band, electricity flows.
