The European Commission recently announced that it would no longer maintain its objections to the Packaging Implementation Act (VerpackDG).

This means that the new German Packaging Implementation Act can replace the existing Packaging Act (VerpackG) and come into effect on August 12, alongside the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).
