Normally I don't add anything interesting to my video descriptions, but I happened to stumble across the meaning of these lyrics, and that completely changed the way that I listen to this song.

Immortal Melancholy is inspired by the death of two lovers (who were friends of Simone's), who both had terminal illness. Instead of suffering or leaving one behind, they decided to die together.
