The fountain pen world has been searching for the perfect paper ever since the original Tomoe River was discontinued. In this video, I'm putting three contenders head-to-head: the Marks EDiT notebook (with its exclusive Neo Agenda paper), the legendary original Tomoe River, and its official successor, Sanzen Tomoe River — to finally answer which one is best.
A bit of background: when Tomoegawa, the original manufacturer of Tomoe River, discontinued production, Sanzen stepped in to fill the void with a new paper inspired by the original. But how does Marks' Neo Agenda paper stack up against both? It's thin and lightweight, and shows fountain pen ink properties really well — so this is a much closer fight than you might expect.
