This technique requires spotting a block which has the pattern shown in tutorial 71 and a conjugate pair. It enables you to eliminate 1 small number which can have considerable ramifications.
Deborah asked how do you know where X is on the conjugate pair. Answer. X is on the end of the conjugate pair which lines up with one of the arm of the empty rectangle shape.
It takes practice to spot these.
