Blender 5.1 HDRI to 360 Panorama Sphere Model | Poly Haven 8K JPG to FBX Workflow

In this Blender 5.1 tutorial, you will learn how to convert a Poly Haven 8K tonemapped HDRI JPG into a fully usable 360 panorama sphere 3D model. This workflow is useful for environment setup, background projection, lighting reference scenes, and game engine asset preparation.

We use a simple and fast pipeline inside Blender 5.1 to turn a flat HDRI image into a textured UV sphere that can be exported as an FBX file with embedded textures.

You can download HDRIs from Poly Haven here: https://polyhaven.com

WORKFLOW
- Go to Poly Haven
- Select HDRI
- Download 8K tonemapped JPG
- Open Blender 5.1
- Create a UV Sphere
- Add Material
- Set Base Color → Image Texture
- Load the 8K tonemapped JPG as texture
- Connect texture to material
- Export as FBX
- Enable Path Mode: COPY
- Enable Embed Textures
- Done: You now have a 360 panorama sphere model

This method is great for:
- 3D environment lighting reference setups
- Game engine sky sphere workflows
- Unreal Engine / real-time rendering pipelines
- Quick HDRI visualization inside Blender
